Hello,

Is there a script I can use to have ppl signup with creditcard to see images?
As I see it now there are 2 ways to block ppl.

A: use a password for the private category but this just one pass for all paying members-> no good

B: create a 'member' user and give him rights to see a certain category.
But also 1 login and pass for all paying members and on top thumbnails of the pictures from the specified category won't show up in random image preview on index.php

Looking for this a very long time.

Thanks for helping out

Either manually enter all members or automate through a subscription that they be entered into another usergroup

Then edit category permissions and only select that group as having access to that category

Hello omegatron and thanks for the answer but...

I understand what you mean, and it is a neat trick, but the moment you assign a specific category only allowed to be accessed by a specific user group index.php stops showing examples from that group.

Maybe it's doable by altering some code but I wouldn't know where to begin.

Thanks

If you mean it does not show ads from that cat then make the ads viewable by all but allow only posting by that one usergroup.

No special requirements for that

OK, I'm a bit lost here.

Let's say I go to Edit usergroups in the admin area.
I create a usergroup called 'Members'. Then for that group I have the following choices:
Admin access:No
Mod access:No
Allow uploads:No
Allow commets:No
Require moderation:No
Disk space limit:
Upload file limit:
Allow Edit own photos:No
Allow Edit own posts:No
Allow Albums:No
Assign Albums to cats:No

Then in categories I set permissions:

These checked usergroups can view images in this category:
Admin:Y Banned:N Unregistered:Y Registered:Y Coppa:N Members:Y

These checked usergroups can upload to this category,
unless a usergroup's overall upload access is disabled.:
Admin:Y Banned:N Unregistered:Y Registered:Y Coppa:N Members:Y

These checked usergroups can post to this category,
unless a usergroup's overall posting access is disabled:
Admin:Y Banned:N Unregistered:N Registered:N Coppa:N Members:Y

These checked usergroups will have their photos stamped with your overlay photo:
Admin:Y Banned:Y Unregistered:Y Registered:Y Coppa:Y Members:Y

Which settings do I combine for that to work?

Now if I set view to all and in options registration required to see images, then
all people will see thumbnail examples, but need to register to see full size images.

Or I could leave the registration required to NO then everyone sees images like that, w/o registration needed.

But I only want to allow members to see full size images after signing up through a cc billing system.
Now how do I do that?

Thanks

You see what I want is that everyone can see thumbnails, but no full size images, and for those who want (to become a member) have to pay for it.

It's a bit more complex I think then how you lay it out.
I could be wrong though :D

well restricting large images yes would require you to alter the code

However to just have say group members access to upload photos then your settings in cat editor for that cat would be let whatever groups you want be able to view it or post to it.

However when it comes to upload just mark admins and members able to upload

Thanks for quick reply.

Do you know what needs to be altered or where I should take a peek how to do this?
Cause If I may suggest, if you would create a ready 2 go PP with merchant integration from the most important online payment systems, it would sell like it has never sold before.

It is nowhere to be found on the net. I have looked at alternatives but nada.

So up till then customizing for me would be the case.
If you have any tips, I have all ears.

Thanks again.
