vBulletin FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Yes vBulletin and PhotoPost companies both allow you to have a non web accessible testing area.

All you need to do is lock it down with an htaccess file. You do not need to ask vb anything just read there FAQ under the license faq based on having a second install.

Here are the steps you need to do to be compliant with both software installs.

1. Create a directory on your server called beta or test

http://www.yoursite.com/beta

2. Upload a copy of vbulletin 5 there.

3. Send me ftp info and you can lock that ftp info down to just that new directory if you want or not I do not care.

4. I will create an htaccess file to lock down that directory and install test copies of vb and photopost there and verify that the new vb5 integrations works and then send you the info to play around.

My goal here obviously is just to verify the integration works across as many people as possible before I release gold releases.
