Not sure what your saying what do you mean upload button.
If your using vb4 then the upload link is in the
vb submenu in the new navigation manager. The documentation states you need to redo the plugins in both 8.1 and 8.2
I would suspect if you do not see all the proper links then the xml product has not been updated as well as files.
