Okay that's it, thanks! I made some progress. In turning off the basic editor, the post contained html formatting, rather than bbcode, so that is presumably the problem?

I see that the bold bbcode tag works. Does yours work with the bbcode list (bullet) tag? I confirmed that the list bbcode worked in a regular post, but it doesn't seem to format at all in the reviewpost. At least if the standard vbulletin bbcode tags can be made to work, one could technically edit in a regular forum post then copy/paste when uploading a review post.

I don't fully understand the reviewpost/vbulletin integration so this may be a dumb question. Is there a setting somewhere that would allow only admins to use html tags? That might allow for the WYSIWYG editor to function without posing a major security flaw.
