PhotoPost Community - View Single Post - Wise to solve a 500 error before upgrading

I'm running the old Perl version 2.52.

I recently moved servers and am getting a 500 error for the upload form:

/cgi-bin/photopost/upload_form.pl

I renewed my Photopost license today and plan to upgrade to the latest version.

Should I bother trying to figure out/fix the error with my old version before beginning the upgrade process?
