well if we imported albums without importing the albums I think customers would be upset. Yes it appears to me your looking for something to display differently then it is suppose to.

its all about how you set things up you set it to not act as a category
You can say DO NOT ACT AS A CATEGORY HOWEVER you will need to set the catdepth to 2 not 1 and then of course children will appear.
