vBGallery has had as many updates as PhotoPost PRO as far as I know - covering all the upgrades for
vB. But if you are keeping track to the exact number of releases, then you might know better than me. What I can tell you is that we work to update all our products and given the size of our staff concurrent development is not always feasible.
I just read the vB4 announcement not an hour ago - as I've said in other threads, I don't have a timeline for vBGallery going Gold for vB4 as I am working with others to try and get it updated and with all the changes we are having to recode and redo all the templates. Since we're behind the curve as we were only invited into the BETA a short time ago - it's going to take some time.
PhotoPost PRO was much easier to provide a new template for given that virtually none of the code relies on the
vB codebase and doesnt use the
vB template system. In cases like this, it's a huge benefit.
As for dropping vBGallery to use Albums; that's entirely up to you, but I would suggest you would be giving up allot of functionality that a Gallery provides that Albums doesnt.
