Some of my members have been experiencing this problem recently when posting comments on a picture that someone has uploaded.
Most people who report the issue are using wireless internet connectivity ie. 3G or HSDPA, but someone has also mentioned being on ADSL. At first we thought that the problem might be cookie related, as the only way that I could recreate the problem was to use a standalone version of IE6, login to vbulletin and navigate to a person's gallery. I would then be signed out. I log back in, post my comment, and then would get logged out again. If I log back in then, it returns an invalid call to script error.
Now this scenario is pretty bizarre, and seemed to only happen in IE6 standalone (I have IE7 installed on my pc, not 6 anymore) which uses a query string to point to the session. However, using a pc with IE6 as main browser, it all works fine.
My only thoughts are that the connection people use causes the problem. From what I understand from members the error did not appear when the site was hosted in our country, but since we moved it overseas due to bandwidth costs, it started happening.
Any thoughts on this? Any way to work around this? I would hate to see people leave the community because their comments and participation cannot get posted due to script errors. I think the invalid call to scrip is just a symptom of another problem, but cannot find anything up to this point
Any help or advice or anything would be greatly appreciated. We love photopost, as it is the core of the site, and it has been awesome since day one!
