It doesn't appear to be that simple. I take the MySQL settings from the installer page, paste them directly into the mysql command and I can create a table.


mysql -ucarshowg_carshow -pXXXXXXXXXX carshowg_carshowgallery

mysql> CREATE TABLE example(
-> id INT NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
-> PRIMARY KEY(id),
-> name VARCHAR(30),
-> age INT);
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.15 sec)
