Yep, I followed the install instructions (
http://www.photopost.com/installphp-vbgallery.html) to the letter (apart from the fact that they listed to run vbagallery_install.php and the script is called vbgallery_install.php).
I edited the required files, I copied the required files, I chmodded the required directory and I ran the install script and selected "upgrade"
The ppicount error has gone now anyway (see above), the error I have now is to do with the way the gallery looks.
