Thanks for your help on this one Chuck and the link to the 'Cron Job' thread, I thought there was some communication with sellers missing. I installed the Cron Job no problem via the VB3 'Scheduled Tasks Manager' and it took about 1min to install and run.

However although it sends out the notices fine it still doesn't appear to have deleted the old sold Ads which are beyond the 'Number of days to show sold/closed ads?' setting.... any ideas?

Edit: Sorry buddy, I've just notice your comment:
"Our program does not delete ads. It is marked expired which includes sold etc and the admin deletes them. You can also set that users can delete there ads."
