| Copied data base install problem
When I was setting up a new vbulletin site, I copied the entire vbulletin database from an old site to a newer site, since the new site is actually a superset of the old site. That allowed me to import the user base as well as all the pertinent threads. Just a fyi, both old and new vbulletin systems will be running concurrently, so it's not like I am killing one for the other.
I am using version 5.3 of PhotoPost on the old site, and recently purchased the latest version (6.01) of PhotoPost for the new site and installed it this morning. After finally wrangling through all the folder permission problems, I finally got to the admin page and was surprised to see messages that were obviously related to the old site. When I tried to actually view the photo gallery on the new system, it crashed and burned on me.
What's the easiest way out of this dilemma? Can I just copy the DATA folder from the old system to the new one? Or is there a way to just tell the new system to dump the old stuff and start from scratch?
Utilizing the photos from the older site would probably be the best option, since it would populate the photo gallery on the new one, but I would rather get some input first before making things worse....
Thanks.
