An updated version of the hack can be found
here. The new version moves the templates from hard-coded code into the normal
vB template system, uses a plug-in to eliminate the need for modifying the eCard template, includes a way of playing YouTube videos, FLV files, and a few other goodies.

Zachariah has played around with the code and I think he is planning on a few hooks to allow hacks like that to work without code edits but he hasn't mentioned, to me at least, anything about incorporating the code into the actual vBGallery product.
