no actually not..
the only thing you could do if you have mod_rewrite installed on your server have it display the link to your catid as a folder..
i.e. instead of gallery/showimage.php?i=5&c=2
have : gallery/carpictures/ford_mustang.html
But this would implement
you rewrite the core files of the gallery and work with a .htaccess file, which is not the point of this software as for the moment url rewrites are not supported.
