I have worked on a new way to bypass the required file edit need to integrate the gallery into the forums. Standard practice, to update you would have to edit forums/includes/init.php again after updates.
Please import this "Plugin" attached. It will update the vBGallery product.
I plan to have this in the next vBGallery 2.2 update. This will not interfere with the next update.
vBulletin 3.6 + needed to install.
vBGallery 2.0, 2.1
AdminCP => Plugins & Products => Download / Upload Plugins
- Import Plugin Definitions XML File

"AS IS" this will work on index, member, adv_index. ( forumhome, profile page, vbadvanced.com CMPS portal pages)
I have this working on 40 sites @ the moment.
Remove file edit

Content visible to verified customers only.
Remove this line it is no longer needed.
