Thanks for the suggestion, but I tried that and it removes the whole "iStyles Designer Gallery" link, which isn't the desired result as I would like a navbar bit to go back to the 'Home' gallery page.

The "Home" link in $gallerynav is still broken anyway.

I've even tried hard coding the URL into $gallerynav in place of $vba_options[gallery_url] but the final result is still the same as some code somewhere is replacing the links. (despite the fact that all the replacement lists are empty)
