As I said there was nothing more to say on the issue till you respond on what I asked. First off it your using an older version I would suggest you upgrade just so we talking apples to apples. Now as I posted in that thread and even in this one when I assign an album the counts appear right which is why I post examples. Now you can also try after upgrading your files unassign the album and reassign it

In admin showgallery options members gallery shows all a users photos and yours clearly shows all a users photos

I think I also answered above and explained that your featured photos display is only going to show photos in that category if a cat is present and your only showing 1 photo cause you only have one photo uploaded to cat 500
