The nature of your issue is this which is a database error and could be an way old bug that has been fixed. I do not see where moving would cause an issue like this unless you where using an older database tables than the ones you should have moved.

I can not tell you what the error is since I do not have 5.02. You should upgrade just for the security fixes at the very least.
You can edit pp-inc.php and remove this in bold to see if your presented with a real error. Without the real error my suggestion is to upgrade.
