I don't think there is an 'official' demo site out there yet but you can find several real-life examples
here. Both myself & Zachariah also run instances of vBGallery on our personal sites (
Cool SciFi for me and
Game Zone HQ for Zachariah) that you're welcome to check out.
And, yes,
currently the price is $59. When the product is added to various ordering systems then the price will be going up which means that any prices mentioned in this thread are only effective while the ordering system is manual.
