Ian,
Sorry but this is not passing the buck at all here. This has nothing to do with constructive criticism here at all. I am supporting our software and we indeed find the issue to be with your security software and not our program. Please look at this from our point of view here in dealing with our program. The program works as it should and I have clearly shown this. We choose to use the variable name ad. There is nothing wrong with that from our point of view. You indeed found out your issue was with your security software package and settings as that has an issue with that variable name. For whatever reason they choose to think its a problem therefore I explained that you would need to take this up with them as it is an issue with there product and not ours. They would be able to explain the issue and give you a way to bypass it or in future versions of their program correct this bug in their software.
Point in case here there are users who use
vbseo with vbulletin and use our applications find that
vbseo messes with all our url's. Thus users of that software need to go to
vbseo and they have some code to alter there files to excluse the Photopost products from their rewrite technology. The support for this issue falls on
vbseo not photopost support because this issue is with their product. I tell people with
vbseo to contact
vbseo for a patch they have to fix that issue with there software. This is the only point I have made here. I referred you to Norton for them to assist you. Your issue is with Norton and thus support for such an issue falls on Norton to assist you with.
Just for the record I use Norton SystemWorks and Norton Internet Security in my system here and have no such issues with the buy link in our classifieds system so more than likely this is some simple setting they can assist with.
You can choose to contact them or you may modify your files if you choose not to contact them. However modification of your files falls outside product support and we can not assist with that.
