That's one option. ALt text for each photo would mean the ability to have a more detailed description for the photo.

Example:
Photo 1: Sony ABC123 monitor - front view
Photo 2: Sony ABC123 monitor - rear view

It would also go a long way to helping people with disabilities who use special devices (that rely heavily on the ALT tags) to view webpages. The first part of European Union disabilioty legislation came in to force last year requiring certain types of websites to comply with accessability guidelines for disabled people.
