Now as far as the issue I really dont know what else to say I have not said already. To show the recent comments block is a simple throw of one switch under Admin => Sidebar Settings to turn on the undercats pal
You can see by the code block I posted in index.php it is a pretty clear conditional clause. If the undercat is on either the undercat sidebar or undercat template is loaded depending on what you have set.
