Does the thumbnail resizing allow you to have a fixed size thumbnail for all the images?

Example: all thumbnail, no matter if it's horizontal or vertical will be shown as 75x75 (kinda like how flickr has the same square size thumbnail, even if it cuts off the top and bottom or the sides)

OR all thumbnail resized to be 100x75, even if it's vertical, it gets chopped off the top and bottom to be 100x75 - can that be done?
