Can we take out the part that says "Creative Community" and tells us who we are, etc... ?

Also, is there any way to show only the category name and description under the thumbnails here? Ideally, it wouldn't even have columns, just the category name with the description under it. I have changed it so that we are not using the forum style index, we are using the thumbnail index. She really wants to emulate this index page, which is actually a Coppermine gallery:
