If your moderators were added to the moderator group and if you're style was coded properly then they should be seeing the "Mod" option in the footer template.
Even if they don't see they "Mod" option in the footer then if you followed the steps in the installation readme file then they'll see the Gallery options when they go to
www.yoursite.com/forums/modcp.
