I run VBulletin 3.0.7 on my forum (currently) but was looking to expand with a wallpapers website on a different domain.

Both domains are on the same server and can access the same databases

I was wondering if I could have my VB installation on one domain and have photopost pro on a second domain but still have them sharing the same user database and stylesheets? (Stylesheets is not as important as the user database)

Recoding PHP or mySQL templates for things like links and server paths is not a problem as I am quite adept at modifying things.

If this is possible will it still be possible if I upgrade my forum to VB 3.5.x?
