The templates *shouldn't* need to be re-installed anymore after a vB upgrade with 3.5 since vB has changed the way they handle their upgrades so that not all templates will be removed as they were in the past. For those who did have to reinstall their templates, you may want to download the package from here again to be sure that you have the most current version, upload the install file over your existing one, and then re-install the templates again. That *should* prevent you from having to reinstall the templates the next time you upgrade vB.

Keith - I can understand your concerns, but just knowing that you're getting a blank page doesn't give us much to go on. A blank page throughout the entire script is usually due to either the templates not being installed, or the forum path not being entered correctly. A blank page while uploading an image could be caused by a few things:

A problem with GD or ImageMagick on your server.
The image you are trying to upload is too large in either filesize or dimension and your server or GD can't handle it.
Safemode is enabled and the gallery is not configured to work with safe mode (though that usually results in a different error).

There are many sites that are running the gallery with vB 3.5 without any problems though, including my personal site and my localhost. In fact, I don't believe that anyone besides yourself and Tim have reported any problems with this, though I haven't read through many posts on here yet today. It's very possible that there is some type of compatability issue with the gallery and vB 3.5 that only affects certain server setups, but it's next to impossible to determine the exact cause without being able to reproduce the problem, which is why we've asked for someone who is experiencing this problem to please submit a support ticket so we can investigate the issue and figure out what's causing it.
