Sounds like you have your Forum URL option under your main
vB options set incorrectly if adding $vboptions[bburl] in front of the links is causing a problem. Though there shouldn't be any need to even do that in the first place since you just have to enter the filenames in the Navbar Replacements option to add your forum's URL in front of the link.
