There's no reason you should touch those two require() statements. If you enter the correct path in your gallery_config.php file then that should be all that's needed.
For the images, go to your Style Manager in your Admin CP and select 'All Style Options' from the select box next to that style. On that page you will see a section dealing with image paths. Make sure each is set to the full URL to those folders.
