This was for the best of our program going forward |
You say the best going forward. To me it was a step backwards. For those of us that have large photo galleries and have other add on programs that reference photos in our galleries. Also those of us that have a very large message base that have a lot of photos in that message base or with references to photos in that message base. The links or references to them are no longer any good. It would take forever to go through a message base and correct all these bad links and to find the correct links. It would have been nice to be warned about this before we upgraded.
Well now since this is all screwed up now I might as well do the switch like I have been thought about now for a long time. I can not believe you made a major change like this not knowing how it would affect us dedicated Photo Post users that have been using photo post for over three years now. I for one use to argue with others that would say PP had crappy support. I would tell them the support was slow but it was a very good product. I don’t know if I would argue with them now since this last upgrade.
I am sorry to be going off here but this really screwed a lot of things up for me. I for one had a book that I put together that was interactive with a web browser and in that book it has links referencing photos in my gallery. I had the book on the web for downloading. It was over 5 Megs of writings and links to numerous photos in my gallery. It took a long time to put this book together. You can not imagine how long it took. Now every link in the book is not longer any good. I have had to take the book off the web so that no one can download it. For those that have downloaded it I have mud in my face because they will find out that those links will not work. It is going to take me a long time to fix and update this book. Yes you guessed it I am pissed off.
Tonight I am going to convert my site to vBadvance Gallery.
