Keep in mind, you also have a fullboat of options turned on; that's going to effect performance when you turn on everything. You have the calendar on, the recent comments, top rated, etc.

The more options you have enabled, the more work being done. If you turned off some of the bells and whistles, then you'd reduce the load.

I would suggest turning off the calendar and clearing your cache to remove that from the data being collected/transfered since the calendar can use a bit of resources on larger sites.

Disable the Calendar PAL and then run this query:

UPDATE cache SET timestamp=0,calcache=NULL WHERE id=1
