If users want to edit their reviews, why not add a facility for the user to edit their review, preview it themselves, then re-submit the new version for mod/admin preusal?

At the moment, there's only the option for a user to submit a review and us to approve it. Approvals can be turned on/off and edit can be turned on/off, however there's no inbetween that allows a user to change typos with mod/admin intervention.

I guess what I'm suggesting is:

1. preview system for user's own submitted products and reviews pre-submission
2. possible timeout period on editing submissions pre-approval?
3. possible resubmission facility after a review has been accepted and published if the "edit" facility is locked down
