There are no bugs in the software concerning this issue. Every thread on this error in these forums lead to user error in regards to incorrect paths.
Your gallery is now down cause you have edited something else in the config-inc.php file most likely your database settings.
For the
VB header to work the two paths I meantioned must be correct and also in the config-inc.php make sure your $PP_PATH is set to the proper path to the gallery.
