yes when you update PP you may also need to update the language files of your choice just incase any new language strings are in place, of course always check the forum for update information or the CHANGELOG.TXT
Check your config-inc.php or via your admin control panel to set the 'Default Gallery Language' to the one of your choice, only one language file at a time can be set and used in this way.
