I really only have two types of users: Admin (for me) and everyone else.
I also set up a non-admin account for myself so I could test things from my visitors' point of view.
To check to see if it was just an unsupported type being uploaded by my visitor I signed on as Administrator and uploaded a JPG with no trouble. Then I signed on with my non-administrator account and tried to upload the exact same JPG and got the "unsupported" message. So I do not believe it is the photo that is the problem. I do not see anywhere in the settings where you can define different formats for different users, including admin.
I have not seen this message, nor had it reported to me before.
I started receiving error messages earlier this week that were tied back to a recent upgrade of PHP by my host; they did not have some of the error checking set to default values and it created some headaches until they adjusted the setting. I don't know if that has anything to do with this but the two issues both came up unexpectedly this week.
