I do think that there are more people interested in that feature, but as long as it is not a working add-on module for the newest version and as long as it is not communicated in your marketing efforts on this site, you will not see the real demand for this.
Few people will go to the developpers site. Most PP users are non-techis. You have to make it easier for the non-sophisticated costumers and talk here about these addons and "sell" them. You could even charge a small fee as an add on module for PP.
